LONGITUDINAL STUDIES

 

Understanding what are the key events and trends over the long-term across a wide range of situations involving special interest groups.

Examples of the types of research include:

  • Study of 300 dialysis patients in rural and regional areas of Australia, tracking their use of healthcare services and health outcomes over 10 years

  • Study of 1,000 students across Malaysia, commencing from their first year of primary school and scheduled to end in their last year of high school, observing details of their education outcomes over this time, currently in it's 5th year

  • Study of a representative sample of SME's established in Singapore in 2009, tracking their annual performance across a range of KPI's, now in it's 6th year


OPINION POLLING

 

Determining the public's opinion concerning a wide range of past, present and future issues and understanding how these issues affect the public.

Examples of the types of research include:

  • Evaluating public opinion towards the development of a new coal mine located near a regional city in Australia

  • Investigating public opinion concerning the proposed bid for an upcoming winter olympics in a Japanese city

POLITICAL POLLING

 

Addressing political research needs for government at local, state and national levels, to understand and prioritise key issues for voters and to determine voter intentions. 

Examples of the types of research include:

  • Detailed qualitative and quantitative research to determine the prioritisation of issues amongst voters across specific electorates and the electorate as a whole in Taiwan

  • Pre-election day polling of voter intentions in the Australian state of New South Wales

  • Exit-polling of voters on the day of a national election in Japan
